Maria Felix-Padilla is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania from Miami, FL. As part of the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, she is pursuing a B.S. in Economics at the Wharton School, a B.A. in International Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences, and a Certificate in Portuguese. Her interest in public and economic policy was initiated by her high school experiences in policy debate and various local political campaigns.
This year, serving as Vice President of Finance, Maria is excited to become more involved with the Public Policy Initiative Student Group (PPISG). Moreover, as part of the Trade and Foreign Policy Team, she looks forward to learning about the economies of emerging markets, conflict resolution, and international trade. At The University of Pennsylvania, Maria is also an active participant in Wharton Latino and the Global Research and Consulting group. She is an Intern in the Lauder Institute’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program and a Joseph Wharton Scholar.
