Postsecondary National Policy Institute
The Postsecondary National Policy Institute (PNPI) is delighted to announce the fourth season of the PNPI Summer Scholar Program (May 28- August 2, 2019). PNPI’s Summer Scholar Program provides a unique opportunity for highly-motivated undergraduate seniors (rising or current) and/or graduate students with demonstrated financial need to learn about federal higher education policy alongside current and prospective higher education policymakers, all while offering the financial support needed to live and work in Washington, D.C.
To ensure that the experience is substantive and accessible, PNPI provides its scholars with housing and travel assistance in addition to an hourly wage. The leading source of professional development for federal postsecondary policymakers, PNPI offers scholars the opportunity to build their knowledge base and their network in federal higher education policy over the course of their summer in D.C.
Applicants to the program are required to demonstrate full or part-time enrollment at an accredited institution of higher education and proof of financial need. All majors and fields of study are considered, but candidates must indicate an interest in postsecondary education policy or practice.
If you receive an offer, supplemental funding may be available from Wharton PPI. Once you hear back from the organization with an offer, please fill out the funding application form here: http://bit.ly/InternshipFunding
