Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency
The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) or the Agency was established in 1988, as the fifth and most recently created member of the World Bank Group. The Agency’s mission is to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) into developing countries, to support sustainable economic growth, reduce poverty and improve people’s lives.
MIGA’s Department of Operations (MIGOP) is currently looking for a Summer Intern in its Global Transaction Team (GTT). Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Independent research and analysis of a variety of topics related to various sectors including energy and extractive industries, infrastructure and the financial sector. Indicative topics for this research include: preparation of briefing notes for senior management; background information and financial analysis of specific companies; sector analysis; trend analysis with respect to foreign investment in specific sectors/industries; identification of new opportunities for MIGA within these sectors and/or in certain target countries; and preparation of analysis and materials for new business development activities
Work in a transaction analyst capacity to support Underwriters with financial modeling and transaction/paper drafting; preparing presentations and talking points for internal meetings; and perform ad hoc tasks as may be required.
This internship is meant for graduate students only. Applicants must be a graduate student in good standing with the university.
