Tyler Knox is a sophomore in the Wharton School from Campbell Hall, New York. He intends on concentrating in Legal Studies and Management while minoring in International Relations in the College of Arts & Sciences. He is a part of the Wharton Public Policy Initiative’s Public Policy Research Scholars program.
Tyler’s initial passion for the policy sphere was first inspired by his experiences in his high school’s Youth in Government program, an experiment in brainstorming policy solutions to local social problems. Now, Tyler is particularly interested in how policymakers can play a role in promoting scientific discovery and commercialization. As such, he finds intellectual property law and healthcare policy pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to be especially fascinating. He is also beginning to study the policy sphere around emerging defense and military technologies.
