What do you want to do in the future?
“Business cannot operate in isolation from government. Whether my future path leads me toward working in business or government, I hope to maintain an understanding of how business and policy decisions impact each other. The PPRS program will provide me the resources, as well as the connections to students and faculty, to help me develop this interdisciplinary perspective.”

Summer Internship Experience
As a Capital Markets Initiative intern at Third Way, Yana worked on many diverse projects. One of her first assignments was to help design an infographic highlighting the effects of the Dodd-Frank Act on our financial system in the past five years. She also researched and drafted a report on credit rating agencies and their role in the financial crisis of 2008. Throughout the summer, Yana attended hearings, briefings and panel events at other think tanks and on Capitol Hill. She reported back to the Third Way Econ team to help keep them up to date on current issues in D.C. Finally, she helped the Capital Markets team prepare for their own events by making calls to advertise and compiling research materials about the invited speakers.
