Nad Kilani is a sophomore studying at Wharton, from Calgary, Canada, concentrating in Finance and Accounting as a Joseph Wharton Scholar. Aside from being a member of the Energy, Environment and Infrastructure Team with PPISG, Nad is a member of the Special Situations Group of the Wharton Investment and Trading Group and an investment analyst of Global Platinum Securities.
Coming from Alberta, the center of the Canadian oil sands, Nad has a developed interest in energy policy, particularly regarding how governments respond to the revenue base that energy opportunities create. This year, Nad hopes to gain a greater understanding of how governments can harness natural resources to assist their citizens, sharing what he learns through periodic articles. In the past, Nad has written about Chinese oil policy and the results of the Paris Climate Change Talks, and hopes to write more about how governments have and should respond to potential energy and environmental crises.
