Stephanie Aliaga is a junior in the Wharton School from Irvine, California. She is pursuing concentrations in Finance and International Business in the Wharton School. Stephanie is also pursuing a certificate in public policy as apart of the Penn Wharton PPI, Public Policy Research Scholars Program.
In the summer of 2016, Stephanie worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the International Trade Administration where she gained exposure to the Trans-Pacific Partnership, National Export Initiative, and trade promotion amongst small and medium-sized businesses. Last summer, Stephanie was a Sales and Trading summer analyst at J.P. Morgan rotating between the Emerging Markets and Interest Rates desks.
Her interests include economic policy, trade policy, and international development. She hopes to gain more insight on policy making and implementation and hopes to one day use this knowledge to make a difference on the developing world. Outside of the PPI Student Group, Stephanie serves on the Undergraduate Assembly, Penn Democrats, Penn Microfinance, and Sigma Kappa Sorority.
