Christian Butts is a sophomore from Cherry Hill, NJ in the Wharton School of Business concentrating in Business Economics and Public Policy and Legal Studies and Business Ethics. Christian is a member of the inaugural class of Public Policy Research Scholars, a honors certificate program in public policy administered by the Penn Wharton Public Policy Initiative. He is passionate about the different ways that public policy can positively affect lives whether domestically or internationally. Christian plans to attend law school for International Trade Law after he graduates from Penn. Currently, he is researching political forecasting techniques with the marketing department at Wharton.
Most of Christian’s interest in the international community is derived from participation in Model United Nations and his travel as a singer in both middle and high school with the Philadelphia Boys Choir. With interests in public policy as a whole, he hopes to engage in research with Wonk Tank and work with other teams to explore other implications. This said, Christian is a member of the International Trade and Foreign Policy team for Wonk Tank and hopes to contribute in-depth public policy research to the larger Penn community.
