Taja Towne is a Masters of Social Work candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. Originally from Arizona and alum of Arizona State University, Taja has made the East Coast her new home and expects to graduate May 2015.
During her time at Penn, Taja has focused on policy work, especially pertaining to immigration and its intersection with health care, education, human rights and immigration reform. Taja is a member of Students for International Social Work (SISW), Social Work Advocates for Immigrant Rights (SWAIR) and Hispanic and Latino Alliance for Change and Equity (HACE) as well as contributor of the Health, Education and Welfare Wonk Tank team. After graduation, Taja would like to do policy analysis work in relation to social justice issues.
