Nicholas Zarra is a senior in the Wharton School, concentrating in Finance, Accounting, and Statistics while minoring in Classics. Having grown up in the Palmetto State, Nick holds a deep pride in his local community and its unique beauties. In terms of policy, Nick finds the intersection of finance, economics, and law to be fascinating, which led him to intern with the Honorable Senator Tim Scott (R-SC). Current oil price shocks have spurred a deep interest in energy pricing and its spill over to other areas of the macroeconomy. Hence, he is euphoric about joining the Energy and Environmental Policy team of Wonk Tank.
Outside of academics, he served as the cofounder and inaugural Editor-in-Chief of The Statesman, a conservative campus magazine, and founded the state level legislative initiative of the Penn-Israel Public Affairs Committee. Now, he spends his time within the Penn Newman Catholic Center and smelling the roses.
